The useful bit
The difficult work sits between the diagram and the day-to-day reality: requirements that are still moving, suppliers who need challenging, systems that cannot simply be taken offline, and people who need to inherit something they can actually operate.
My background spans support, infrastructure engineering, service delivery and technical solutions ownership. That range helps me follow a problem across applications, platforms, networks, security and operations until the whole failure—or the whole opportunity—makes sense.

Security decisions grounded in how services are actually used: least privilege, segmentation, controlled access and secure links to third-party and operational technology systems.
Own the path from what the organisation needs to a technical solution that can be specified, costed, tested, commissioned and supported.
Implementation is only complete when the service works, the recovery path is understood and the people who inherit it have the knowledge to operate it.

Lead infrastructure design, delivery and operational support across a live 24/7 airport, translating requirements into secure, supportable services.

Operated and improved server, virtualisation, storage, backup, network and Microsoft infrastructure in a live 24/7 environment.

Working method
Good technical work creates confidence at each handover, not just a successful go-live.
Separate the stated requirement from the real operational need. Find the constraints before they become surprises.
Choose a supportable architecture, challenge assumptions and make the risks and recovery route visible.
Coordinate suppliers, implementation, testing and controlled change while staying close enough to the detail to catch what diagrams miss.
Hand over knowledge, documentation and confidence. A service is not finished until somebody else can run it well.
